Did you know that women make up 70% of Taptica’s senior management team, 62% of our relocation program participants, and 50% of our company as a whole?

We’ve got a lot to celebrate today!

The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #BalanceforBetter. So, we’re taking this opportunity to put the spotlight on some of the amazing women of Taptica to see where they draw their inspiration to push boundaries, shatter expectations, and balance for better each day.

Without further ado, here’s who inspires the women who inspire us:

Meet Danielle Abraham:

Client Success Team Leader, USA

Danielle, who inspires you?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the second female ever appointed to the US Supreme Court, as well as the first-ever female Jewish judge. She is an inspiration to me because of her lifetime of hard work fighting for women’s rights. Among her notable actions were her rulings in the fields of abortion rights and gender discrimination in the US army.

Meet Nicki Halpin:

Head of Agency Sales, UK & EU

Nicki, who inspires you?

Katie Piper, an English activist, writer, and television presenter. She was attacked with acid by her ex-boyfriend, causing major damage to her face and blindness in one eye. Piper gave up her right to anonymity in order to increase awareness about burn victims.

She inspires me, as to see what she has gone through and to come out the other side wanting to help other victims. This not only shows a fantastic depth of courage, but also the ability to turn a life-changing incident into a catalyst for positive change that can inspire women around the world.

Meet Jeewon Kim:

Senior CSM, South Korea

Jeewon, who inspires you?

Yuna Yang, a New York based high-end fashion designer from Korea. She became an established and favorite brand for New York’s upper-class clients. In the tough New York fashion industry, she always believed in her outstanding abilities, maintained a confident attitude, and did her own show over the last 10 years to build the credibility and quality of the brand. Her passion about work and her courage to celebrate her Korean identity greatly inspire me.

Meet Mayan Faran:

Recruitment Manager, Israel

Mayan, who inspires you?

Rona Ramon. Her husband Ilan Ramon was the first Israeli astronaut who died in the Columbia space shuttle disaster in 2003. Six years later, her son, Captain Assaf Ramon, became a pilot in the Israeli Air Force and was also killed in a training accident. After the pair of tragedies, she established the Ramon Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes personal and social excellence through space, flight, science, and technology.

Rona inspires me for having an incredible fortitude and optimistic point of view on life, in spite of her private grief and tragedies. She chose life and illuminated the path for the younger generations in Israel.

Meet Galina Jia:

Senior CSM, China

Galina, who inspires you?

Tu Youyou, a Chinese chemist and educator. She discovered artemisinin, which is used to treat malaria. This was a significant breakthrough in 20th-century tropical medicine, and helped to save millions of lives in South China, Southeast Asia, Africa, and South America.

For this work, she won a Nobel Prize in 2015, making her the first female scientist from China to receive this Prize, and one of only 51 women around the world who have received this honor. She inspires me because she made the impossible possible while saving millions of lives and brining great honor to China.

Meet Corinne Geri:

Software Development Team Leader, Israel

Corinne, who inspires you?

Angela Merkel, a German politician serving as Chancellor of Germany since 2005. Through trials and tribulations and despite being ostracized many times by her own country, she repeatedly shows her moral integrity when doing what she believes in.

When the world turned away from the asylum-seeking refugees, Merkel took matters in her own hands, and decided that Germany should not ignore those in need.

Happy International Women’s Day! We hope you enjoyed getting to know our team a little bit better.

Who inspires you this #IWD?
